Prince Scholars & Fans Celebrate The Icons work Sign “O” The Times
Prince Rogers Nelson known to us affectionately as Prince or The Purple One would have been celebrating his 59th birthday today on June 7th 2017. As we celebrate his life and legacy of outstanding music and art, Prince scholars and fans are gearing up to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of his great works, Sign “O” The Times.
Prince scholars Anil Dash, Zaheer Ali, Miles Marshall Lewis, Elliott Powell, and De Angela Duff (moderator) will talk about the cultural impact of the music and concert film of the same name during the panel discussion “Peach + Black: Prince’s Sign “O” The Times’ 30-Year Anniversary.”
To commemorate the legacy of Prince and his electric double album and film, they are inviting fans and the public to join them for a beautiful night of thought, music and nostalgia. The event is being sponsored by NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Louella Productions, soulhead.com and New Power New York (NPNY).
