Ghetto Youths International Set Up Shop Volume 2 Tour in New York City at SOB’s
It was a fun and energetic night of reggae and dancehall vibes in New York City presented by Ghetto Youths International which was founded by The Marley Brothers.
Set Up Shop Volume 2 is the second in a series of collaborative albums featuring a mix of rising stars and veterans like Black Am I, Jo Mersa Marley (Son of Stephen Marley) Christopher Ellis (Son of Alton Ellis) Wayne Marshall and Baby Cham.
The New York City performance from their world tour taking place at the legendary SOB’s and hosted by DJ Norie from Power 105.1 FM was a delight from start to finish.
Black Am I and Jo Mersa set it off and then Christopher Ellis (Son of Rock Steady Legend Alton Ellis) warmed up the crowd with nice and smooth vocals leading up to the tun up with Wayne Marshall doing a mixed set of his dancehall classics like Overcome as well as some of his new tunes featured on Set Up Shop Volume 2.
Then as it seemed that the night couldn’t get any better, the lights drooped down, DJ Norie took the stage again and called “Mr Wow Wow” Baby Cham aka Cham to the stage who started out with hits like This Is Why I’m Hot, then taking us back with early dancehall hits from when he was 15, all the way up to now with tracks like Sh@T! and Fighter which features Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley and I’m Too Hot the first single off his new album.
