Tidal And Sprint Create Game Changing Partnership

TIDAL the Global music and entertainment platform announced on January 23rd 2017 that the communications services company Sprint has acquired 33 percent of its company and created a game changing partnership. This new partnership will make TIDAL’s exclusive artist content available to 45 million of Sprint’s “post and prepaid customers.”

One of the artist-owners of the streaming service TIDAL, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter spoke on the new partnership saying “Sprint shares our view of revolutionizing the creative industry to allow artists to connect directly with their fans and reach their fullest, shared potential,” when speaking of Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure who will join TIDAL’s Board of Directors Jay-Z said “Marcelo understood our goal right away and together we are excited to bring Sprint’s 45 million customers an unmatched entertainment experience.”

The Sprint CEO said “Jay saw not only a business need, but a cultural one, and put his heart and grit into building TIDAL into a world-class music streaming platform that is unrivaled in quality and content,” said Claure. “The passion and dedication that these artist-owners bring to fans will enable Sprint to offer new and existing customers access to exclusive content and entertainment experiences in a way no other service can.”
