The Soul Cypher led on the ones and two’s by DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown assisted by Omar Edwards on Keys it was a brilliant display of sweet grooving sounds and melodies featuring the beautiful Chrisette Michelle and Lalah Hathaway and the handsome K Ci and Eddie Levert. A perfect mix of new and classic distinct soulful styles.

After receiving his award he decided to jump on the piano and play a medley of a few of his many hit songs that he wrote and produced. As the music played and we were transported into Mr Edmond’s world the special guest appearances assisted in make an enjoyable moment even more memorable.

Tevin Campbell, Brandy, Fantasia who sang beautifully and then … we were like who’s that coming now is it Busta Rhymes ? No its Bobby Brown who took it up another notch with his entertainments style, Babyface took off his shades jumped down and joined Bobby in his classic Tenderoni. But as thrilling as it all was there was more out came Boyz II Men… A historical and spectacular moment all around.

The R Kelly Backyard Party Performance

Enter in the amazing R Kelly gave an exciting display of his musical and creative genius with a backyard BBQ party style performance them touching on a few of his notable classics like Step in the Name of Love, Ignition (Remix) and Bump in Grind.

Overall it was a classy, grown folk, music loving, family fun, entertaining kind of a night full of soul. Were so glad we were able to witness and be apart of the experience. If you missed it, you missed out. But you can checkout some of the highlights here.
