NE-YO to Perform at the 2017 Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase


Ne-Yo the Multi-Platinum Recording Artist will perform at the Honda Battle of the Bands (HBOB) Invitational Showcase on January 28, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia to celebrate its 15th anniversary. He will join some of the nation’s top marching bands of Historically Black Colleges and Universities at the Georgia Dome before the stadium officially closes.

Ne-Yo Multi-Platinum Recording Artist“I can’t wait to perform along with these talented student musicians,” said NE-YO. “It’s a privilege to be a part of this celebration of the HBCU community and culture, and I look forward to giving the fans a great show.”

The 2017 Honda Battle of the Bands lineup features Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Alcorn State University, Benedict College, Bethune-Cookman University, North Carolina A&T State University, Texas Southern University and Winston-Salem State University. The Final 8 bands were selected through a process that included online fan voting, as well as feedback from band directors, HBCU school presidents and Honda representatives. Each of the eight Historically Black Colleges and Universities will receive a $20,000 grant from Honda in support of their music education programs.
