Chibase Productions Launch Party at Stone Rose Lounge in New York City (Photos)
On 08/30/14 Chibase Productions held their official launch party at the Stone Rose Lounge in New York City in the Time Warner Building it was a fabulous night of elegance, with the room filled with great Artists, Musicians, Dj’s, Fashion designers, Models, Writers and other distinguished guests who were fashionably dressed and sparkly fresh!

Among the guests who attended to support the New York City based Upstart African Music Label Chibase Productions founded by Nigeria-born Chetaci Ecton were Wayne Marshall, Maxi Priest, Chino McGregor, Beniton The Menace, Tabou TMF aka Undefinable One, DJ Madout, Dj Norie from Power 105.1 and Comedian Michael Blackson who entertained the room with his superb ‘modasucker’ genius humor. The day after the event was the 9th annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) which they co-sponsored. Chibase is doing big things and positively moving forward.

As for the new label’s vision according to Ms.Ecton “Our goal is to spearhead a movement and be the “go to” company that provides the platform that will facilitate the crossing over of African entertainers in the world marketplace,” asserts Ms. Ecton.
“There is another Jay Z in Africa. There is another Michael Jackson in a village in Congo. That is why I am doing this, to shed a light on these struggling African artists, so that they can flourish and become superstars somewhere else besides their country of origin.”
